ojt, leap and p&g - Oct 11, 2005 (Multiply) 6:07 PM

my last term (hopefully) in dlsu proves to be one of the busiest terms of my collge life. not only academic-wise (my last four subjects are starting to freak me out - they are VERY hard) but also in terms of events, etc.

first, i am undergoing OJT this term - at SGV & Co., one of the biggest auditing firms in the country. although the work is not that tough, it's the time i spend at the firm im most concerned about. i mean, instead of studying, i spend 4-8 hours looking at my mates and counting the time when i could go home or go back to school. i could study, but one can not really concentrate in a working environment. and of course, there's also the fact tat i could be ushered away by my associate, and assigned to work on something - which is usually footing, filing, doing rounds, etc.

second, leap. i signed up for gourmet cooking which turned out to be more interesting than i imagined. i learned how to make pasta from scratch, and different sauces. i also re-met a guy i first met in orient3, lasaret. i have been wondering if he remembers me, and im not sure if that was him. but then he approached me and well, he remembered me, but not my name haha. i also forgot his name but then millicent knows him so there. anyway, the food was great, although i hate pesto and i got allergies from the sardines in one of the sauces. i was with dianne, apple, dyan, and wen. and other accounting majors. the speaker was ok, i guess she owns la casita, im not sure. and dyan overheard her talking to her mother in spanish. oh ang taray diba! anyway, too bad the others could not come. i love pasta!

next, there are those events at p&g. p&g was looking for new recruits where they invited only the upper 10% of the batch. i took an exam this september for procter and gamble, which thankfully, i passed.after successfully taking the exam i was invited to the p&g leadership forum last friday, where only a few of those who passed the exam were invited. then, my friend jigs and i signed up to take part of the "consumer is boss" game, which will happen on saturday. our other groupmates will be lawrence, tessa, and jen. and before i forget, there's also the marketing dinner on friday at the prince of jaipur resto at fort bonifacio in taguig. i would have to cut short my ojt for that.

on november, there will be AIMS 2005, the Ateneo Intercollegiate Marketing Seminar, which jigs, dianne and i would attend. it's such a miracle that i was accepted - i mean, i dont have that much extra-curricular stuff going on, and i dont know much about marketing. maybe i got accepted because i made my interviewer laugh about an elephant during our session.

another thing i am wondering about is how i came to be invited to the marketing dinner by p&g. they say im 1 out of 100 students who will be invited, although others are also welcome to attend. what could have been their basis for choosing the 100 students? certainly not leadership skills coz i have so zero leadership skills. well, maybe just a little, but certainly not in the ranks of jillian sze who was the one who texted me about my invite. perhaps the invites were based on the global problem-solving test. i don't know...

anyway, just a few thoughts about pinoy big brother. I LOVE SAM! he has such a nice voice - one that could have girls screaming for him in gigs. he should belong in a rock band - he is so good. cute too. nice smile, nice bod. and cute tagalog! hehe

i hope rico will be the one who will make it back to the house. i dont know him that well since i have only started watching pbb about a week after he left the house. he has not been in the house that long to start showing his true self.
too bad for bob. sometimes i think that the show is scripted, thinking of all the interesting stuff that has happened - forced eviction, voluntary eviction, two people falling in love, etc. hope they save some nice stuff for the next season.
